  • ha - I like your cat, he looks like me =) thanks for the links!!!!!

    • I am sure you remember Bill The Cat from Doonesbury.

  • thank you, that seems like the only way we can get people to read new sites. at least on the actual wordpress you can reblog posts like tumblr.

    • Suck sucky sucky suck suck. Making this list is too much work.

  • For the least you give a link so that we can visit your site

    • You are welcome to visit of course. How did you get my link? I am trying to understand. How does anyone find anyone?

  • HA! I love your pussy! :-D
Thanks for including me and linking me!!! :-)
    HUGS!!! :-)

    • I know there must be dozens of blogs I overlooked.

      • Do you how/why you have the "reply" under comments? I'm not seeing that on my site or anyone elses?!
I wish all the sites had the "reply" button!
        :-)

        • Fourth-level indent -- cool or what! It reminds me of those recursive searches I used to write in Comp-Sci.

Anyway, I can always find the new comments in my Dashboard.

  • I'm so frustrated that I don't get notification when people comment back to my comment on their posts. The only way I even found your comment back to me, was to come back here and check if you left one.
On WordPress they notify you if someone leaves you a comment on your site, a comment on other people's sites, or if they comment back to your comment to them.
I just used the word comment like a bazillion times! :-D
And my comment was probably super confusing! :-P
If you understood what I said, let me know, but unless I come back here, I won't know you did. :-D
    HUGS!!! :-)

  • Hopefully these "tweaks" are taking place as we speak..er..type.

  • I found this from a pingback below.... hmm, below someone else's site. (forgot now) It does say Phase 2 ISNT the feature phase , that's phase three so MAYBE all the other cool stuff that wordpress can do, will be able to happen here also, with the bonus of our Xanga community already here :D

    • The main thing I miss is recommending a post or comment.

  • Is this the theme you used in old Xanga? I really like it. It sure ported over well! I notice also that when we hover on a user pic or name that it no longer takes us to their site, it tries instead to just load a page with their username and no .xanga.com afterward, ending up in a broken page. Ohh well, hopefully soon! *crosses fingers*

    • It is not my old theme. I don't know where it came from. It is called "Twenty Thirteen with 6 Widgets." I like it well enough. The widgets are called Search, Recent Posts, Recent Comments, Archives, Categories, and Meta. ha ha what does it mean?

Maybe you were curious about the fonts I used? I figured out how to set them using CSS. It is a 'style=' spec embedded in some html tag such as p (i.e. paragraph).

  • I wont load up the new servers with all my tech questions... As an old non-paying Xangan my site is presently a deserted car-lot, but once they present an understandable means of 'buying-in', I think I'll do it. Meanwhile, a nice service you engineered here. Reminds me of 'the narrator', a much=missed ancient xangan, who routinely added a line of links to each post. His personal choices of 'Top Blogs'.
I'll be in touch, J/ JS

    • The Narrator: this fellow must be some sort of non-blogging interloper armed with the usual excuses. It is curious that his avatar appears to be a goat of some kind, his strange icon only visible to legitimate members.

  • Hmm, and see I have no options for a theme at all, tis only xanga 2.0 plain -which won't activate, or the very Xanga theme that is currently at my page. I do hope for an option such as this. I like WP 's twenty thirteen theme.

  • It does seem tougher to discover new blogs in this format. Maybe we just aren't using it right.

    • A wise person told me recently, "phase two xanga isn't the feature phase - that's phase three." I am going to pretend I know what that means.

  • Passing on some important information:
    Name Link not Working?

If you notice that names in comments are no longer clickable and the avatars lead to a ‘not found’ page, do this: Top right, of your screen where your cute lil avatar is, chose Edit Profile. Scroll through and look for the space next to Website. Add in your xanga address (eg. http://myname.xanga.com) and this make it so that your name becomes a clickable link. It still does not work with your avatar image however.

Try this! It worked for me!
    HUGS!!! :-)

    • Thanks babe. And there is one more rule. If you have underscores in your web site name, change the underscores to dashes.

  • This helped me "find people"... I miss the front page and randomly finding blogs. This new xanga takes some getting use to.
