  • RYC: I've been streaming Foyle on Amazon for free. I think I've watched all of them now. I like Law and Order: UK, even thought I've never watched an episode of the US series. I liked Inspector Lynley when it was on "Mystery," but I'm not sure I would go to much trouble to see it again. I can also get "A Touch of Frost," which we like; and Morse and "Inspector Lewis." I spend more time watching old shows than I do watching new ones.

    • The American Law and Order with Sam Waterston and Jerry Orbach is excellent, in a class by itself. But I can never find it.
I stopped watching Foyle when I realized it is not so much about World War II as it is about Cold War era romanticizing about the war.

  • Thanks for sharing the links!
I look forward to checking them out! As you have a great sense of humor!
I've found a few of these on my own. Ha.
I will check out Tastefully Offensive one first! Is there one called Untastefully Offensive?! ;-)
    Stay warm and safe!
    HUGS!!! :-)

  • This page isn't for me, but I must simply comment that you polar vortex folks are way stronger than I am. I can't even fathom that kind of weather. I'm a West Coast wussy. Leaving page now. :)

    • A West Coast wussy? ha ha ha You have many strengths we admire, among them writing and verbal aptitude. Now, I know you are looking for a new job. I think you ought to apply for a position that matches your aptitude, such as reporter or publicist or copywriter. Also, consider that authors with less talent than you are making a good living in self-publishing.

  • Okay, I perused a number of the above referenced links but did not find anything that would indicate you were a cat lover. At the risk of annoying you further...give me a hint. Truly, I've been faithful, never straying from your site. Admittedly, you're sometimes over my head but I read every word whether I understand them or not. Throw me a bone here, woodja?

    • We disagree about Doris Lessing, specifically Doris Lessing's views on cats, but it's not a deal breaker. I never read her, but she won the fricking Nobel Prize, didn't she, so she must know something. I'll continue to relish your own writing, especially when you use those museum words like gullywhomper.
